Press Release in March 2005
STATEMENT OF DR.SUBRAMANIAN SWAMY, PRESIDENT OF JANATA PARTY MADE IN CHENNAI ON 18.03.2005
1. I demand that the Tamil Nadu Government re-constitute the SIT and replace the SP Mr.Prem Kumar’s and the Government Counsel Mr.K.Duraisamy’s involvement. In several cases Mr.Kumar has prima facie been charged with atrocity and molestation. It should also be investigated whether the pro-LTTE magazine, Nakeeran was privy to confidential and secret police videos and tapes because Mr.Prem Kumar’s and Nakeeran journalist Mr.Kamaraj’s respective wives are sisters.
Moreover, the Government counsel Mr.Duraisamy is a hard-core supporter of LTTE which is a banned terrorist organization. Hence his patriotism and commitment to the rule of law are in serious doubt. He cannot be expected to fairly defend the Indian Constitution.
2. Mr.Rahul Gandhi holds an Italian passport in view of the fact that he was born to an Italian mother and hence a citizen by the Italian law of jure sanguinis. Mr.Gandhi has travelled abroad as an Italian citizen, and has never renounced his Italian citizenship. His Indian citizenship is therefore, ab initio null and void.
Hence I demand he resigns his Lok Sabha seat by April 15th, failing which I shall approach the Court.
3. The subject of the Iranian pipeline through Pakistan to India has been discussed for several years. I and a number of others have opposed this project as it is neither economic nor in the national security’s interest. Now there seems to be pressure on the Government of India to execute an agreement. It has been stated that the pipeline’s safety would be guaranteed by Pakistan for an annual fee of $500 million (Rs.2500 crores) and it would also be insured against damages. First, Pakistan cannot protect its own gas pipelines laid from in Baluchistan to Lahore, which have been attacked at least three times within the past two years. It is nadve to believe that Pakistan will be able to protect India’s pipeline.
Further, I do not know of any insurance company which provides insurance against damages caused by war and terrorists. Therefore, I demand that the pipeline project be held in abeyance unless. at a minimum, the following conditions are met:
1. Saudi Arabia is made to invest in the pipeline and to assure the pipeline’s security.
2.The payments to Pakistan should be based on economic value to India. At present ? billion US dollars per year is exorbitant. It will be used by Pakistan to purchase US weapons.
3.A part of the payment of Pakistan should be earmarked to tribals
4. areas of Pakistan through which the pipeline will be passing through so that these tribals assure the pipeline’s security.
5.The payments to Pakistan should be held in an escrow account for a period of five years and after that only the annual amount should be paid to Pakistan and tribals. There then would always be a five year payment in the escrow account.
6.Pakistan should also agree give MFN trade status to India.
7.India should plan over the next decade lay a pipeline under the sea from Iran to Ratnagiri in Maharashtra as an alternative conduit.

PRESS RELEASE
The Jharkhand Governor’s decision, to flout all constitutional norms and democratic values by rejecting the majority of Arjun Munda, and instead inviting a minority led by Shibu Soren, is a ghastly crime against the rule of law. But it is keeping with Ms.Sonia Gandhi’s Sicilian inheritance and her Emergency (1975-77) legacy.
It is a day of reckoning for all Indian people, and particularly those of the BJP leadership who have been soft and protective of Ms.Sonia Gandhi in the past. I hope the BJP will now join with the Janata Party in exposing all the criminal misdeeds of Ms.Sonia Gandhi and participate fully in the activities of the Rashtriya Swabhimaan Manch.

STATEMENT OF DR.SUBRAMANIAN SWAMY, PRESIDENT OF JANATA PARTY MADE IN CHENNAI ON 02.03.2005
1. I have been informed by reliable sources that in the bogus Kanchi Acharya cases the President of India has acted on my letter (see enclosed) by asking the Governor of Tamilnadu for comments. I have asked for withdrawal of cases under Section 267 of the Cr.P.C.
I again warn the Tamilnadu Government, that if they do not stop this gross waste and misuse of public money by persuing a contrived, bogus and outrageous murder case against the Acharyas, then the government and its instigator in Delhi are liable to be sued under the Civil Procedure Code, and the SIT Police officers can be prosecuted under Section 358 of the Cr.P.C for foisting these false cases.
2. The Rashtriya Swabhiman Manch will hold its next rally in Bangalore on March 26th to expose the danger posed by the UPA Government to India’s national security. The Karnataka Chairman of the RSM and noted Labour leader Michael Fernandes will organize the meeting. It will be addressed by George Fernandes, Uma Bharati, RSS, VHP, and prominent Karnataka-based religious leaders besides myself.
3. I shall also address VHP organized public meetings on the Kanchi Acharya issue along with VHP leader Ashok Singhal in Delhi on March 16, and Tirunelveli on March 19th.
4. The goal of this nationalist consolidation is to first form a Front in Tamilnadu in time for the State Assembly elections. On orders from the LTTE, Ms.Sonia Gandhi has already agreed to form a new Front in TN with PMK, MDMK, Dalit Panthers and PT. Ms.Sonia Gandhi’s mentors have also recruited Dayanidhi Maran to split the DMK (since according to a document circulated in the AICC recently, Karunanidhi may not live much longer). Hence it is necessary to challenge this anti-national pro-terrorist imminent Front led by Sonia Gandhi.
5. I am happy to report that I have won another defamation case (filed by Ramakrishna Hegde). Although Mr.Hegde withdrew the case before this death (see enclosed), I have waited to release it to the press for one year after his death. Till date, I have won all the cases of defamation cases failed against me during the last 20 years.
