Ever Since Mr.Karunanidhi took office as Chief Minister of Tamilnadu earlier this year, the Hindu community in select pockets of the State is being targeted by Islamic Fundamentalists in the state in a pernicious clandestine way.
In several pockets across the state at the Municipality governance level, Hindus of the area are in a minority in the population.
The Muslim majority having captured the Municipality through elections have systematically discriminated against the Hindu minority in providing civic amenities and in blocking celebration of Hindus festivels of the community.
Recently along with VHP leader Shri.Vedantam, and Tamilnadu Janata Party leader Ms V S Chandralekha I had visited two such pockets – one, Thondi in Ramanathapuram district, and another, Rasathupuram Village in Melvisharam Town Panchayat in Vellore district. I found to my utter surprise that in the Republic of Independent India in 2006, sixty years after Independence, in these two pockets Hindus in minority have been denied even regular water supply. Word has been passed around by the Jamaat there that unless the Hindus convert to Islam, this state of affairs will continue. Hence these pockets have become defacto Pakistani enclaves within India.
I demand that from the Central Government that a Home Ministry delegation be dispatched to Tamil Nadu to study the facts and initiate necessary action.

STATEMENT OF DR.SUBRAMANIAN SWAMY,
PRESIDENT OF JANATA PARTY MADE IN CHENNAI
1. The Janata Party will continue to align with the BJP in the coming Local Bodies Election in TN. The goal will be to mobilize those voters who are patriotic and seek an economic policy that makes the citizen self-reliant, instead being dependent on the state for doles and gifts. If elected, the BJP-JP alliance will put the Local Bodies finances in order so that no new taxes are necessary.
2. The PM has saved the nation and respected the memory of Rajiv Gandhi by refusing to meet the Tiger Nominated Agents (TNA MPs) in New Delhi yesterday. It is now for Ms.Jayalalitha to explain how she can keep the anti-national and disreputable company of Vaiko and Thirumavalavan who are stooges of the LTTE.
3. According to my information, the PM resisted the direction of Ms.Sonia Gandhi to meet these MPs. Ms.Gandhi, is already under a cloud for forgetting the demand for extradition of LTTE chief V.Prabhakaran and in seeking the commutation of the death sentence passed by the Supreme Court against the four LTTE/DK conspirators. This latest intervention of her’s shows how she has betrayed Rajiv Gandhi.
4.The findings of the Mumbai Police on the 7/11 serial bombings in the first class compartments of the suburban commuter railway trains, that AI Queda financing Pakistan-based Lashkar E Toiba carried out the terrorist attacks completely undermines the Prime Minister’s decision to share intelligence information with Pakistan on terrorist activities
I demand Dr.Man Mohan Singh review this decision since all our Intelligence Agencies are against the idea.
5.The only viable policy against terrorism is ‘hot pursuit’ and retaliation. If President Musharaff claims that he cannot control them from operating from Pakistani territory, then Indian armed forces should be asked to wipe them out for him.

STATEMENT OF DR.SUBRAMANIAN SWAMY,
PRESIDENT OF JANATA PARTY MADE IN CHENNAI
1. I demand that the Tamil Nadu government immediately withdraw the bogus murder and assault cases filed by the previous Jayalalitha regime against the Kanchi Shankaracharyas, in light of the admissions made by the now suspended SP Mr.Prem Kumar. The Supreme Court had as long ago as January 2005 while granting bail to the Acharyas had declared that the case was “devoid of any prima facie evidence”.
2. I also demand that the state government register fresh FIRs naming Ms.N.Sasikala and Mr.Prem Kumar as possible suspects in a conspiracy to murder Perumal Kanchi temple manager Mr.Sankararaman and for destruction of evidence, and further that the TN police interrogate Ms.Jayalalitha because she in the TN Legislative Assembly had owned responsibility for directing the TN police to register the bogus case against the Kanchi Acharyas.
3. Ms.Sasikala should also be prosecuted for the murder of former AIADMK MLA Mr. M.K.Balan, since there is direct authenticated tape evidence linking her to the murder. A third case later will have to be filed on the Chandralekha acid attack case.
4. The MDMK leader Mr.Vaiko’s plan to protest the non-implementation of the Supreme Court order on my petition to raise the Mulla Periyar water level to 142 feet immediately from the present 136 feet, is pathetic and ridiculous. All these years, Vaiko only spoke for the LTTE and never once for the Tamil farmers. The SC order was delivered 10 months ago, and Ms.Jayalalitha could on the authority of this order have sent the TN engineers to lower the shutters to raise the water level while she was still CM. What was Vaiko doing all these 10 months? It is no surprise that the Karunanidhi government wants to do nothing about Mulla Periyar because the DMK has consistently betrayed the Tamil people by cinema dialogue.
5. I demand a White Paper on the outflow of arms from Tamil Nadu and inflow of narcotics to determine whether these have increased since the DMK came back to power or earlier. I urge the Governor Mr.Barnala to take more active interest in this matter and not to commit the mistakes of 1990-91 when also he was Governor, and the DMK government had to be dismissed for giving a free run to the LTTE in the state.
